Spirit House Ministries, Inc. (SHM) will demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through:

We will demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through personal relationships that promote healing and transformation into wholeness.

We will demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through engaging in a correspondence and visitation ministry to women still incarcerated.

We will demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through discipleship programs to encourage women to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

We will demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through prayer ministry to individuals and groups. We will demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through our efforts to encourage those to whom we minister to rejoin society as law abiding and productive citizens.

We will demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through the development of a woman’s artistic and creative gifts including the publication of women’s testimonies and creative arts.

We will demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through assistance ministries that women access upon release from a city, county or state facility where they can participate in biblically-based programs in areas such as addiction recovery, healthy relationships, personal development, life skills and parenting.

We will demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through serving those women who have made a life-changing profession or rededication of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; and, in addition are consistently willing to do what is required to make the necessary changes for success upon their release.

Mission Statement

Spirit House Ministries, Inc. will demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to the women incarcerated and coming out of prison in the State of Texas and will build solutions to minister to their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Through God’s love and our service, we will assist in removing the barriers to success and equip them for their new life in Christ.
